I have scanned my computer with McAfee and it says I do not have a virus. Also I do not see where I can get rid of the antivirus plus on my ‘un-install list’.

I just had a similar problem on a friends PC. Try AutoRun Eater, it usually works like a charm.http://www.softpedia.com/get/Security/Se…
Also, running your antivirus scanner while your PC is in Safe Mode will work much better than a normal scan. To boot in safe mode is usually tap F8 while your PC is in the bootup process.
Here is how to get to safe mode:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315222
McAfee doesn’t always detect all the virus and is slow about it too.
but it would be a good idea to keep it on and run it with a second anti-virus program such as AVG http://free.avg.com/download?prd=afe
This anti virus plus may be a virus that is hidden in your reg keys and that is probably why it isn’t showing up.
I never had any luck with McAfee or Norton myself
The ones I always come back to is Malwarebytes and Spybot-Search and Destroy.
Get them both for free from Download.com
Another thing, –I only run one antivirus program at a time. It seems like the more you try to run the more confused they get and they start calling each other a virus. So simplify.
Do a control alt delete and at your taskmanager under running processes, turn off whatever programs are running that you don’t need. They just slow the computer down tremendously
I think your antivirus plus is a virus adware program. Run malwarebytes and it will find it
Another thing that I’ve found successful, is to unplug your internet cord when you restart your computer after doing a virus search. Some viruses are so smart, they just rename themselves on restart but they usually come from the internet, so deny that link. After restart ans your screen is back, then plug in your internet
You can just go to C:/Program Files/(Place where the Anti Virus is stored) and find something like ‘uninstall.exe’
You don’t have to download anything extra and this usually works for all programs.

Download CCLEANER and use the uninstall option in the program to uninstall anything you don’t want on your computer.
This is a bad infection, your Mcafee is compromised that why its not showing an infection issue.
Times like this you may need help.

Try Malwarebytes its free to download. If that doesn’t work try Avast.
