Anybody Refer Me To A Good Antivirus That Gets Rid Of Fake Antivirus Programs?

My computer is too open for fake antiviruses! So far I have Total Security, Spyware Doctor, and some Personal Antivirus on here! I desperately need help! I need something that is free and doesn’t need a license to work! Please people, I’ll vote best answer myself! Thank you to all who answer!

  1. Spyware doctor is not fake. Even google distributes it in google pack ( http://pack.google.com , free version). Try updating it at it should remove fakes.

  2. You might want to get MalwareBytes Anti-Malware. I work as a technician and most of the customers getting all of the rogue antiviruses (or fake antiviruses as you call them) software, I use that software to get rid of them and it usually does the work.
What I would recommend doing is to run it more than once though. First time it will most likely find a few targeted files and once done you’d have to click on “show results”. Once you see the results you’ll notice that all the items are checked on the left side. Click on remove selected items. Once that is complete it will most likely ask you to reboot the computer to complete removal of these items. Do so, and once your computer has rebooted, scan it once more with the same software and keep doing so until you get 0 results at the end.
    Hope it helps!
BTW, I see enormous amounts of customers of mine coming in with infected computers like yours and I can assure you that they did have an antivirus on their units. The only thing is they each had the same antivirus which was AVG free. I am warning you do not get that software it does absolutely nothing against the majority of malware out there these days. If you must get a free one get Avast! antivirus.

  3. Removal
    First download Combofixhttp://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUB…

and most of all do windows update it is very importanthttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1roTgk_Sr…
Why windows update are so important

  4. 1) boot into safe mode with networking, install this, run update and quick scanhttp://www.malwarebytes.org/
    2) then, install this and reboothttp://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-…
    3) run full scan wth the above 2 antivirus and antispyware software
    4) clean your pc with these, then reboot.http://www.ccleaner.com/http://www.iobit.com/advancedwindowscare…

  5. Use combofix from bleepingcomputer.com, then go download malwarebytes from softpedia.com or cnet.com and use it, then clean the rest of the virus with superantispyware from softpedia.com or superantispyware.com, and for future protection use avira as antivirus and a good firewall such as Online Armor or Outpost Firewall.

  6. well for 1 thing Total security and personal antivirus are fake and useless! Here’s my suggestion-
Avira.com Antivirus free only install 1 antivirus 2 will conflict
Malwarebytes.org free malware protection( purchase protection module)
    Superantispyware.com free malware/spyware protection
    comodo firewall free
good luck and be safe out there!

  7. download and install the Free version of AVG, and download and install spybot search and destroy. With these 2 programs watching your back, you wont have any problems.

  8. Try malware bytes, it is very good when combatting rogues.

I’ll post the removal instructions for both? Good Luck!
