What is the best antivirus software to use, and what shouldnt I use. I was told not to use Norton.

ESET Smart Security –> light, good personal firewall, good detection rate (Kaspersky and Norton surpassingly clumsy and useless)
Try also Malwarebytes. -

hey this is the best kaspersky its the best against the newest threats here ill give you a download of the best “Kaspersky internet security” used will like you and protect your pc, or laptop belive me it comes with 2 keys that might work for a few months used will like you, dont use norton thats the worse antivirus,, http://www.kaspersky.com here he download link for you…the second link its a software to descompress the file….just installed download them as a free user thanks….

The best Antivirus is .. avast! antivirus … they offer free ( Home edition ) to people using home computers along with lifetime free updates! so you dont have to download the pirated version of Antivirus which causes no more then troubles and others antivirus may also “lag” your computer. But avast! is very light…

Do you want free programs or are you looking for the best possible protection.
The best way to protect your computer is not to install an anti virus program, but an internet security program. ( anti virus, anti spyware, anti spam, firewall and much more)
I did test 5 different internet security programs over the last 12 months.
Here is my top 3
3rd place – Bitdefender Total Security – good – 8 out of 10
2nd place – Panda Internet Security 2009 – very good 8 ½ out of 10
1st place and in my opinion the best is
ESET Smart Security.- did find infections
the other programs missed – very good 9 out of 10
The other 2 programs I tested, were Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 and
Zone Alarm Security Suite

Norton is the world’s no.1 anti-virus and even yahoo scans all its attachment with norton. Install norton and keep updating it. I am doing the same and protected till now.
